Reduce risks to health and safety in your work place
001.1 Reduce risks to yourself and others
You must show that you:

work in a way which protects the health and safety
of everyone |

promptly warn others about the risks in your work area |
| 3 |
Safely
eliminate risks in your work area |
| 4 |
report
to your manager any risks you are unable to remove, as soon as
is practical |
| 5 |
keep
emergency exits and routes clear at all times |
| 6 |
report
accidents and dangerous occurrences promptly and accurately to
your manager |
| 7 |
report
injuries promptly to the person responsible for first aid and to
your manager |
You must understand:

your responsibility for health and safety under
- the law, including the Health and Safety at Work Act (section
7), COSHH, RIDDOR
- codes of practice, company procedures and safe working methods

Performance evidence
You
must show that you can reduce risks to yourself and others in your
workplace consistently, over a period of time.
Your
evidence must show:

how
safely you deal with risks in your area |
| R4 |
what
to do in the event of an accident or emergency |

your
awareness of the locations and requirements of emergency exits
